The Arkansas Credit Union Foundation gave a disaster grant to Martha Starks, a member of Arkansas Employees FCU, who lost everything she owned in a recent house fire.

Staff from AEFCU surprised Ms. Starks with a check presentation at the credit union on Monday, July 26, 2010.

Ms. Starks said, "I have been a member of AEFCU many, many years. So many times car dealers have tried to get me to finance with them and I said – NO WAY - I always use my Credit Union. This gift from the Foundation is so heartwarming and I want everyone to know how much I appreciate the money. Everyone here knows me and AEFCU is like family to me. Thank you.”
