What is the Foundations Mission?
Education is the heart of the Foundation’s mission. Our goal is to raise enough money through our fundraising efforts to provide educational scholarships that will help our credit union movement grow and prosper. With advancements in technology and the many new challenges facing credit unions each day, the need for education continues to be as critical as ever.
Continuing our education ensures the distinction of Arkansas credit unions by providing the level of expertise necessary to follow new regulations, research, and provide new services and maintain the philosophic base that has made us what we are today.
We will also strive to assist in the area of technology and other operational areas for credit unions in need. Grants for computer equipment and other materials will be available to help those credit unions that need a helping hand.
Another area that we want to be of assistance in is disaster recovery. Nowhere is the philosophy of “people helping people” better expressed than in response to someone in distress. The Foundation will assist credit unions, their staffs, and their communities in times of disaster. Contributions will be available to those who have suffered loss or damage.
