Understanding the Asset/Liability Management Process

The ALM Essentials Workshop is held from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The session is designed for all credit union employees and Board members who desire a better understanding of the asset/liability management process.

  • Reviewing and calculating your credit union's key financial ratios
  • CAMEL Rating System
  • Reviewing an expense analysis and its implications
  • Market pricing of loans and deposits

ALM Implementation Workshop
Implementing an Effective Asset/Liability Management Process

The ALM Implementation Workshop is held from  9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The session is designed for all credit union employees and Board members who desire an overview of understanding and implementing an effective asset/liability management process.  It addresses:

  • Summary of NCUA's Rules and Regulations
  • Organizing a successful ALM process
  • Developing an effective Investment and ALM Policy (guidelines)
  • Reviewing broker/dealer due diligence
  • Developing a consistent ALCO Agenda
  • Monitoring and measuring liquidity
  • Measuring and understanding interest-rate risk/sensitivity (GAP)


No Pre-Requisites Required
