ALM Essentials Workshop
Understanding the Asset/Liability Management process

The ALM Essentials Workshop is from 9 AM to 4 PM and the session is designed for all credit union employees and Board members who desire a better understanding of the asset/liability management process.

  • Understanding the ALM Resources' ABAJO Key Ratio Report
  • Reviewing and calculating your credit union's key financial ratios
  • Update to the new CAMEL rating system
  • Reviewing an expense analysis and its implications
  • Market pricing of loans and deposits
  • Explanation of the Corporate Stabilization Program and current updates


ALM Implementation Workshop
Implementing an effective Asset/Liability Management process

The ALM Implementation Workshop is from 9 AM to 2 PM and the session is designed for all credit union employees and Board members who desire an overview of understanding and implementing an effective asset/liability management process.  It addresses:

  • Organizing a successful ALM process
  • Developing an effective Investment and ALM Policy (guidelines)
  • Reviewing broker/dealer due diligence
  • Developing a consistent ALCO Agenda
  • Monitoring and measuring liquidity
  • Measuring and understanding interest-rate risk/sensitivity (GAP)
  • Reviewing recent changes to NCUA's Rules and Regulations
